- Alex Berglund
- I am a composer/violinist based in Minneapolis. I create original musical compositions for wide range of projects including films, commercials, musicals and artists/bands. I also do string arrangements for artists/bands. Some of my recent long form projects include the score to the film 'Mortimer and Bracket, Music for the film 'Ballyvaughn Story', Music for the film 'Goodbye Hello'. The score for the animated short 'Fool Throttle', The score for the Musical 'Buckhunter' (Mabou Mines 2005), and the Soundtrack for the animated short 'Fever'. Although conventional instruments play a significant role in my compositions, I am fascinated by using African and Eastern Classical instruments in addition to electronic sounds and effects. I am also interested in revisiting traditional classical art pieces with the possibilities afforded by modern technology or from the standpoint of a different cultural ensemble performing the piece.
